Elmdon Coppice is a small wood and a Local Nature Reserve (LNR) bounded by houses on three sides. It mainly contains Oak. Some remnants of coppicing can still be seen. On the southern edge is a rather pretty pond with a large amount of Mallards. At the time of visiting (April 2013) it appears that Solihull Council is getting to grips with brambles and holly and making some clearings. Of particular note was the amount of small birds seen and heard. A really pleasant wood.
