Loch Arkaig osprey cam
Catch all the drama of osprey life, streaming live from our nest cameras in the Scottish Highlands.
Camera one
The nest where it all began, occupied by our original pair Louis and Aila, and now by Garry and Aurora.
Camera two
Louis and his new partner, Dorcha, moved into this nest in 2021 and have called it home ever since.
The story so far
Our live nest cameras, supported by players of Postcode Lottery, began streaming footage of breeding ospreys from Loch Arkaig Pine Forest back in 2017.
Louis has been the only constant down the years since then, raising a total of 14 chicks through to fledging with his partners Aila and Dorcha. We are thrilled that he is back for his tenth year in 2026, reunited once more with Dorcha.
Support our work
We protect trees, restore woodlands and create safe havens for wildlife across the UK – including irreplaceable ancient Caledonian pinewoods and Scotland’s rainforest, both found at Loch Arkaig Pine Forest. These places are lifelines for species including ospreys, pine martens and countless others who depend on healthy woods to survive.
Your donation helps keep woods standing, nests safe and wild moments alive. It helps us defend green spaces threatened by development, carry out wildlife surveys and get more trees in the ground.
Please donate today – for the health of woods and trees across the UK.
