The Millenium Wood

On the edge of Harwood near Bolton, this small, broadleaf wood of silver birch, alder and willow sits between Longsight Park and Harwood Vale. The entrance is opposite the main entrance to Longsight Park (BL2 4JX). A 300m level semi-circular path provides access and views of planting which took place in 2000 as part of the Millennium commemorations. There are no benches in the wood and the nearest bin is in the car park opposite.
