PRIVATELY OWNED WOOD
The Greens comprises of several different strips of woodlands in Newbigging near Biggar. The section of woodlands I visited was in Greens Rd in the village. Once I turned off the A721 the road to the woods is the first on the left hand side. Some limited parking close to site with a 5-minute walk to the woods. A mixture of new plantings as well as some older trees including rowan, elder,Scots pine, alder, beech, sycamore as well as grassy areas with lots of wildflowers. Great views too.
