Newburn Riverside

This strip of broadleaved woodland runs along the bank of the River Tyne beside the Newburn Riverside Business Park. It's a great place to unwind from the stress of work, with plenty of benches on which to enjoy lunch or a coffee break. The wide, tarmac path is popular with cyclists, runners and dog-walkers ' and there are a few places where you can leave the path and explore down to the water's edge. Take in the views of the Tyne, and watch the birds, butterflies and occasional boats.
