This little loch and wood are just a few steps from the main street in Newtonmore. The loch is a "kettle-hole", the legacy of the glacier which covered this are during the last ice age. More recently (during more reliably cold winters), it was a curling venue. This is a perfect place to relax and a number of seats have been provided to facilitate exactly that. From them, it is possible to see a variety of water birds who have come to share the space with you.
