Garvagh Forest
NORTHERN IRELAND FOREST SERVICE WOOD
Covering over 200 hectares, Garvagh Forest includes trees planted over 80 years ago and others only planted at the turn of the 21st century. It has a network of seven miles of paths and roads winding through conifer and broadleaved trees. An unusual feature in Garvagh Forest is the Garvagh Pyramid, created as a burial chamber for Lord Garvagh but never used. Keep your eyes peeled for red squirrels, hares or a herb called Robert, or 'stinky bob'.
