Brackenhirst

A large Forestry Commission wood located near the village of Riggend a few miles from Cumbernauld on the A73. Limited parking at site. Several entrances to woods with wide grassy footpaths. Some very old beech and oak on the site as well as conifers. There are facilities opposite at Felix Animal Farm and also at Riggend Services. The trees in the woods are looking very beautiful in their autumn colours. Great views and well worth a visit.
