Woodland Trust report on woodland economic benefits, January 2017

This research report argues the importance of putting an economic value on the benefits of woods and trees.

From flood mitigation to health and wellbeing, the many benefits trees provide are worth over £270 billion.

Policy makers need to fully understand the economic value of these benefits to ensure that trees and woodland are not overlooked as potential options when project decisions are made.
