Lloyds Bank & the Woodland Trust

We’re working with Lloyds Bank to help farmers with their plans to transition to a low carbon future. We are offering partial funding for planting 0.5 hectares (ha) of new woodland or more as part of our MOREwoods and MOREhedges schemes.

Benefits of tree planting

MOREwoods and MOREhedges can bring a multitude of benefits to your farm, such as:

• Helping to manage flooding
• Providing wood fuel
• Offering habitats for game and wildlife

You can choose to create a shelterbelt, fill a corner of a field or even plant a small wood.

Where 500+ trees are planted as woodland on at least half a hectare, we’ll help you design your woodland, create a bespoke species mix, supply the agreed trees and tree protection, and cover up to 75% of costs. If you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland and would like a contractor to plant the trees for you, we can arrange this and cover up to 60% of all costs for woodland creation of over 1ha.
