The England Wood lies in the Slad Valley part of the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The land was planted in 1981 with mixed broadleaves with a wide ride to maintain the glorious views across the Slad Valley. Rare woodland plants include white and broadleaf helleborine columbine and common wintergreen.
