Salford City Council Woodlands (unknown)

Not really a destination in its own right, this little section of broadleaved woodland nevertheless serves as an effective and welcome screen from the busy Barton Road and motorway slip road. A path runs through from the pay and display car park and leads to a path by the Bridgewater Canal. However the improved towpath on the opposite bank presents a better option. This is part of the 40 mile Bridgewater Way Regional footpath Route 82 which also links to cycle route 55.
