Queensberry - Carronfoot Riverbank

Part of the Queensberry Estate, this small (3.5 ha)woodland along the east bank of the Nith was planted in 2006. Its aim is to establish a mixed native woodland and create a wildlife habitat. It is a linear walk, with limited access and amenities, but lovely views overlooking the Nith to Drumlanrig castle and grounds. The area is managed for salmon angling by Buccleuch Sporting. There is no designated parking area and access is from an unmade track.
