The Provost's Walk is a level 7km circuit (although there are some steps) next to the A9 on the outskirts of Auchterarder with views of the surrounding Ochil hills. Part of the walk passes through these woods along the Ruthven Water. Auchterarder is accessible by bus and there is a train service to Gleneagles nearby.
