Pontneddfechan

This is Waterfall Country as Claire's atmospheric photographs show so well. The Afon Mellte flows through this wood. Care is needed in reaching the waterfalls. Some of the paths follow steep-sided, tree-lined gorges. Spray can make some of these very slippery. Good walking footwear is essential. In the village of Pontneddfechan is the Waterfall Centre. There is an exhibition about the Fforest Fawr Geopark & the formation of the waterfalls. You can also visit the remains of a gunpowder factory.
