Monreith Estate

The different parts of this well established wood form a ring around the White Loch of Myrton and Monreith House, ancestral home of Gavin Maxwell (the author of Ring of Bright Water). There are a number of paths although the most popular is the one which circles the loch, providing views of the house and an opportunity to view local wildlife.
