Near to Mow Cop and the Gritstone Trail, this is a fairly large broad-leaved wood with mainly oak, birch, rowan and alder. The ground cover is mixed with dense holly and bracken in places. There are some drier and some wetter areas. There are no maintained paths. Access is via a private road, Roe Park, off Congleton Road) and no designated parking.
