Irons Wood (WCG)

A small newly establishing woodland in a delightful village setting. The wood is open in aspect but ringed by mature broadleaved trees which gives a sense of enclosure and contrast between the older and younger trees. A series of footpaths provides a good walk linking Ashton Heyes and Barrow to enable you to take in a couple of woodlands and pretty villages. Access from Irons Lane with parking on the lane close to Barrow Social club, located by the phone box marked on OS maps.
