Walk to the source of the River Severn - or choose from numerous walks including waterfalls. While still a commercial forest, the forty to fifty year felling cycle allows Foresty Commission to manage Hafren as a habitat for wildlife and for the quiet, relaxing enjoyment of visitors. A haven for wildlife, including rare birds û buzzards, goshawks, red kites, merlins, sparrowhawk, jays, crossbills and nightjars û and aquatic life û nearly every native species of freshwater fish can be found in the waterways.
