GREENHEAD MOSS COMMUNITY TRUST WOOD
A large community woodlands close to Newmains on the A71 made up of two sections. Some limited parking at entrances. A great find for me and I really enjoyed exploring the woods. Wide footpaths throughout the site so great for access. A mixture of young plantings as well as mature trees. Some wetland areas, moors as well as grasslands. Popular with locals and well used. Well worth a visit with some good views. All facilities can be found in Newmains which is within easy walking distance to woods
