This wood is on the site of Beech Tree Colliery which was the last coal mine to be decommissioned in the Black Country. Lots of Beech trees and other broadleaf ones. The wood is on both sides of Foxcote Lane. There is still evidence of coal on the floor of the wood. Keep children well supervised as there are some steep drops.
