Drummuir Community Woodland, part of Drummuir Estate, is situated on the edge of Drummuir village, between the school, Drummuir station and the river Isla. The woodland is made up of larch and broadleaved species and plays an important role in the local landscape. Although the current woodland was planted around 40-50 years ago, the site is designated as a plantation woodland of long term origin. Until the closure of the railway running through Drummuir in 1965, the path through the woodland was the main route linking the village and the station via a footbridge over the river Isla.
