This ancient oak woodland surrounds Drum Castle & Gardens and contains the last remnants of the ancient Royal Forest of Drum. Admire magnificent horse chestnut, lime and copper beech specimen trees in the arboretum. There's a small shop and tearoom (open April to 30 September) plus a ranger service (waymarked trails and guided walks).
