Cumberhead Complex is a huge site made up of a conifer plantation and broadleaf woods. There are several ways to access these woods but I found the easiest to be through the hamlet of Cumberhead, where there is some limited parking. Then is it a walk of almost a mile to the site. There is a wide farm track to the site with some lovely hawthorn and beech hedges en route, with some panels explaining the environmental policies of the site. Waymarked throughout with good views & worth the walk.
