Copheap Wood

This is a broadleaved woodland on a hillock to the north of Warminster with magnificent beech trees. A steep walk leads to a barrow on the top. From Copheap Lane an uphill walk leads though a World War 1 & 2 Memorial Lych Gate. The wood is surrounded by chalk grassland owned by the MOD. There are great views to Salisbury Plain to the east and Cley Hill to the west. Limited parking can be had along Copheap Lane or next to the entrance to Arn Hill Wood.
