The nature reserve of Coed Gorswen is a small area of mixed woodland in the lower Conwy valley. The tree varieties include Oak, Alder and Wych Elm. There is a good variety of birds to see including woodpeckers and willow warblers. There are two footpaths, both of which involve steps and stiles. Local parking is difficult. The nearest public transport is at Rowen, 800 metres away. The service is very infrequent on Sundays. The Countryside Council for Wales is now Natural Resources Wales.
