Although neither big nor round, this is a lovely secluded spot in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The adjoining sunken path is used by riders and walkers, and there are some paths within the wood that are also used by local people. It is well placed on local bridleways to provide a place to stop, shelter and enjoy the seclusion.
