Part of the Peckforton hill range and on the sandstone trail, like nearby Bulkeley Hill, this wood is managed by the National Trust. The broadleaf woods are interspersed with open areas of heathland and is the home to wild ponies that have been successfully reintroduced. There are spectacular views from several viewing points.
