Beacon Ring on Long Mountain, near Welshpool. This pre-Roman Iron Age hillfort commands fine views into the Severn Valley and beyond and is a popular stopping point for walkers on the nearby Offa's Dyke footpath. The interior of the site was planted with trees to mark the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
