Blocks and strips of mixed broadleaved trees close to Allander Water and around the Allander Community Centre. The river-bank woodland strip is dominated by mature and mid-mature trees (mostly ash and alder with some hybrid black poplar and sycamore). The ash and alder represent remnants of native riparian woodland. Much of the remainder of the site is relatively young, dense woodland (mostly birch and willow with some ash), which has colonised disturbed ground. To the north of the Community Centre is a mounded area, where ash has previously been tipped. The north end of the site includes a small area of public park with scattered trees.
