Dive into a unique exhibition of urban woodland, curated by artistic collective Rewired Life.

Composed of stories and artworks created by the community of Splott in Cardiff, Treescapism reimagines Wales’ urban future with trees, greenspace and equitable access to nature.

Urban communities require trees as essential infrastructure to support public health and climate resilience. Yet the Tree Equity Score tool shows that residents of Splott have some of the lowest access to trees anywhere in the UK, and are disproportionately affected by environmental hazards like extreme heat and pollution.

Sharing collective voice and vision for a greener future, the show brings to life a collage of vibrancy, where nature and community grow together.

You can visit the exhibition from Friday 26 to Saturday 27 June. In the meantime, why not find out how your own neighbourhood scores using our Tree Equity Score checker?

Protecting trees and woods

Tree equity

Unequal distribution of trees in towns and cities is hitting those who could benefit most from urban greenery the hardest. This is where tree equity comes in.
