Come along on a nighttime stroll and learn all about the fascinating bats and moths that call the Faughan Valley home.
Red Brae Wood, Faughan Valley
Join us at dusk in the Faughan Valley for a woodland bat and moth hunt.
Led by one of our expert volunteers, this is a fantastic opportunity to get to know the wide variety of bats and moths that have made their home in this biodiverse part of the country.
The evening will begin with a look at the moths which have ventured into one of our moth traps, before we then make our way down the hill from the car park to explore a few of our local bats' favourite spots. You'll get to learn about seven different bat species, as well as help us count how many we can identify in one night.
Booking via our sign up form is essential.
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for being outdoors.
There are no toilets on site.
In the event of poor weather conditions the event may be pushed back to the following day, but we will monitor and update you if this is the case.
All under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
