Natural flood management by planting trees

This case study looks at the multiple benefits for people and wildlife of natural flood management.

It examines the work carried out on land owned and managed by the Sussex Horse Rescue Trust, much of which is within the River Uck floodplain.

The study explains how the planting of hedgerows and woodland was designed to intercept overland water flow during flooding events.
