Publication date:

Policy paper

The paper examines the potential of agroforestry to deliver a wide range of benefits in England.
Agroforestry describes farming systems that combine trees or shrubs with agricultural crops or livestock.
Despite barriers preventing widespread adoption, we believe agroforestry would be a win-win for:
- productivity
- environmental protection
- agricultural resilience.
We strongly believe the Government should adopt the seven recommendations in our paper.
