Our chief executive

In 2014, Beccy joined the Woodland Trust as its Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to joining the Woodland Trust, Beccy worked for the National Trust for 14 years, where she started out as the Property Manager of the Stourhead Estate, the National Trust's second most visited pay-for-entry property. In 2005 she became the Regional Director for the National Trust’s East Midlands region and in 2010 became the Director for the new Midlands region.

From 2009, Beccy was responsible for leading and championing the National Trust’s work on its sustainable food agenda nationally and she chaired the Food for Life Catering Mark Standards Committee for the Soil Association. She also contributed to national steering groups on contemporary art in the National Trust, its work in the outdoors and engaging urban communities.

Prior to joining the National Trust, Beccy worked in local government in Scotland. In 1993, she completed a part-time MBA from Heriot-Watt University and was the winner of the KPMG Management Consulting prize. In 1994, she joined management consultants Smythe Dorward Lambert, based in London and Boston, USA and later became a company director.

Her other interests include walking, gardening and the arts.
