Wooler Common

Acquired by the Forestry Commission in 1960, the Common has a pleasant mix of maturing plantation woodland and open 'common', criss-crossed by a network of public and permissive paths. An easy access trail encircles two picturesque ponds at the heart of this mixture of mature woodland and open common.
