Thetford Forest Park - High Ash

High Ash is a site that not only has gorgeous views but is brimming with historical features. As you enter the site you'll see a Cromwell tank that is there as a monument to the 7th Armoured Division Desert Rats who were stationed here prior to D-Day. There are two way-marked trails that you can follow in varying length, one at 2 miles and then an easy access route at 0.5 miles which has boards explaining the history of the Desert Rats.
