One of the prettiest places in the Lake District, and one of the most popular, Tarn Hows is surrounded by well-surfaced paths, spectacular views and beautiful scenery. The tarn and wood are maintained by the National Trust, which provides a free-to-use, all-terrain mobility scooter for visitors to book. Walking here is as easy or as demanding as you could wish for.
