Redmires Plantation

Wyming Brook is a valley that runs down to Manchester Road towards Derbyshire, just before Redmires dam. A beautiful valley which is an ancient woodland worth a look. Turn right into the carpark before Redmires dam and walk down the valley following the river. (about a 20 minute walk). The valley is flanked with large gritstone cliffs and boulders. Turn left at the bottom and follow the wide winding path back to the car park.
