Taking its name from the Old English word for the Blackbird, this is part of the very attractive Bradshaw Valley and, whilst many will be drawn to the Jumbles circuit and its facilities, a visit to this area is highly recommended. Careful management has allowed Oak and Birch regeneration to take place and many native broadleaves have been planted to further develop the woodland. Wildflower growth has been encouraged and a network of paths provides good access and excellent long distance views.
