These woods are small but provide some of the most charming and invigorating walks in Berkshire. The woods are sectioned into four areas that are collectively called the Keephatch Local Nature Reserve. The first area lies along Keephatch Road. This area contains a wide variety of trees such as Norway maple, ash and pedunculate oak. Sparse shrub layer and elm are commonly sighted. Part of this Berkshire walk is occupied by bramble, ivy and false brome.
