Hartwood

A small woodland in the village of Hartwood on the outskirts of Allanton. Some limited park at the site. The woods run along both sides of the South Calder Water. Wide grassy foot paths which wind along the river and open meadows. This leads onto a small conifer plantation. Great views looking across the village. Great place for wildflowers especially meadowsweet. Peaceful and quiet woods and well worth a visit.
