Greenwood is a small area of woodland which rings the north side of the village of Houndwood, just off the A1 in the Scottish Borders. The trees comprise a mixture of pines and deciduous trees, including some fairly young oak trees. Although this is a Forestry Commission wood, it is not signed as such even at the entrance on the edge of the village. The main access path rises rapidly in a straight line from a patch of waste ground. Smaller tracks on your left give limited access higher
