Golden Wood (Extension 2)

Golden wood consists of 21 acres of planted new woodland and meadows and is located beyond The Foundry building at the west end of Lawshall. It was planted by the local community between 1994 and 2010, and although it is not fully mature, it is a splendid place to go for a stroll and enjoy the countryside views. The wood also features a Hauswin (a traditional rainforest Wind House) - built with the assistance of six tribesmen from Papua New Guinea.
