Close to Glenburn Hall is the stream of Skip Running Burn, now commonly known as the Larkhall Burn. The moss-covered windblown trees in the burn provide excellent habitat for woodland and streamside birds. Look out for pied and grey wagtail, dipper, wren, members of the tit family and warblers. A good trail of paths to follow, although they can be muddy at times.
