Glen Orchy and Glen Lochy

Slow down and relax in sheltered Glen Orchy. It's only a few miles from Tyndrum, but this historic glen feels a world apart. Rob Roy's mother was born in the glen, and today is home to the most southerly remnants of Scotland's ancient Caledonian forest. Spread your picnic blanket beside a magnificent waterfall or pedal through the forest on our challenging mountain bike trail. Glen Lochy, just a little distance from the bustle of Tyndrum is the place to stretch your legs in fresh mountain air and dip a toe in the waters of the River Lochy. Wide open views sweep from the picnic site across Ben Lui, a wonderful Munro.
