Fencerhill Wood is situated between McCracken Park rugby club and Whitebridge Park estate. There are a couple of parking spaces next to the entrance which is about 10 minutes walk from bus stops on the Great North Road. The wood is relatively small and has one main path running through it. The woodland contains oak, ash, willow and lime.
