Lewis Wood is a narrow strip of broadleaved woodland which forms a semi-circle on the south side of Wrexham. This 300 year old wood incorporates the Clywedog Trail and has rail and bus connections within about 1km. Erddig Hall, a major tourist attraction with a stately home and formal gardens is nearby. There are marked trails in the area. Bluebells can be spotted here in Spring and this is a great place for autumn colour.
