An upland forest on the edge of the Cambrian mountains just south of Lake Vyrnwy. It is also home to the Rainbow Trails, which were created by a partnership between Forestry Commission Wales and the local Riders' & Carriage Drivers' Association. All the trails incorporate excellent scenery in a peaceful environment. The forest has rich growth of mixed plantation comprising conifers as well as pockets of native deciduous trees.
