Dunham Massey - Dunham New Park

A walk through this delightful oak woodland comes as a surprise, given the proximity of the busy A56. Immediately you encounter some very mature tree specimens and an area rich in wildlife. The wood is full of birdsong and the sound of woodpeckers, with squirrels in abundance. The path can easily be followed across the Golf and Country Club course, watching for flying golf balls when it opens up. There is a choice of routes, which can lead on to Charcoal Road in Dunham Town and the Park.
